Field Marketing focuses on sales and merchandising for the beverages, snacking and cosmetic business units to provide greater focus and to achieve an improved execution at store level.The successful applicant will be required to perform a Staff Management Function and a Sales and Merchandising function in the Inland West Region (JHB & Vaal Area). The applicant will be responsible for the Wholesale Outlets within the region. Your passion for sales coupled with a solid sales and merchandising experience in a FMCG environment may provide the key to success in ensuring the Business Units targets and service levels are achieved.Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow relationship between customer and supplier
  • Manage BU discount budgets and profitability targets
  • Manage Margins
  • Manage customer spend
  • Manage RSPs
  • Monthly store performance reviews with customer
  • Monthly store performance reviews with region, construct corrective plans, manage and monitor
  • Execute BU strategy
  • Manage Promotional Grid
  • Manage execution of promotional plan
  • Achieve sales target
  • Manage effective ordering process between customer, BUs, AVI Region and Call Centre
  • Maximise distribution through effective buying and working closely with Planning and LSS
  • Manage strategic stock levels
  • Manage day to day stock cover
  • Manage store specific strategies, sales through and underperforming stores via sales team
Ranging * New Listings
  • Manage shelf health in line with AVI FM and BU objectives
WHOLESALE INLAND WEST REGION
  • Achieve BU sales targets
  • Manage effective ordering process between customer, BUs, AVI Region, Call Centre and LSS
  • Maximise distribution through effective buying and working closely with Planning and LSS
  • Manage and mentor Sales representatives and merchandisers responsible for all the Wholesale Outlets in the region.
  • Manage BU objectives and strategies within Wholesale
  • Manage and execute wholesale promotional plans
  • Manage RSPs on shelf
  • Monthly store performance reviews with customer
  • Monthly store performance reviews with region, construct corrective plans, manage and monitor
  • Mange shelf health in line with BU and AVI FM objectives
  • Manage strategic stock levels
  • Manage day to day stock cover
  • Manage store specific strategies, sales through and underperforming stores via sales team
  • Execute NPD strategy
  • Cross regional working required in order to deliver implementation of BU strategies
Experience:
  • At least 5 years' sales management experience in an FMCG environment
Qualifications:
  • Completed Matric
  • A completed tertiary qualification (Business/Sales/Marketing) advantageous
