Reference No. 403 06 RR:Our client is seeking a Field Service Technician or Engineer whose role will be responsible for the smooth operation and safety of all on-site maintenance activities. This includes leading the team, managing legal safety obligations (MHSA 2.6.1 / 2.9.2. or equivalent), and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and cost-effectively within the contract scope.Responsibilities:

• Identify hazards and risks relevant to site conditions and activities.

• Develop and manage a comprehensive Risk Management Plan.

• Achieve health, safety, quality, and financial maintenance KPIs.

• Maintain strong client relationships and communications.

• Supervise and guide site team in equipment maintenance tasks.

• Ensure quality control and compliance in maintenance activities.

• Mentor and develop subcontractor team skills.

• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.

• Control inventory and manage site costs to stay within budget.

• Commission, test, and hand over equipment ensuring operational and safety standards.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• 10 years working experience in the engineering discipline.

• 5 years working supervisory experience and interaction with client.

• 3 years working experience equipment installation and commissioning.

• Mechanical trade test with N6 or Engineering Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

• Project management, supervisory certificate advantages.

• Experience in maintenance and operation of mining plant.

• Strong commercial and financial understanding.

• Good communication skills and ability to liase with clients and internal stakeholders in different levels.

• Computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS Projects.
