  • As Atlas Copco ACTA Software Service Engineer, you will be required to support our software solutions, integration of Industrial Tools and Assembly Systems and projects for our customers.
  • You will be part of the Service Business Line and support our Industrial Technique Divisions Motor Vehicle Industry (MVI) and General Industry (GI).
  • We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated software professional capable of supporting the installation and configuration of complex production systems.
  • Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting thorough technical analyses of installed solutions in case of malfunctions and providing contract support.
  • The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in managing production-critical systems within industrial environments.
  • You should possess a deep understanding of the relationship between customer production processes and the corresponding software products and solutions.
  • Communicate with various stakeholders such as Customers, MVI/GI teams, product company and other customer centers.
  • Accountability of order execution with operational excellence.
  • Support for Service Level Agreement finalization.
  • Support for successful project executions with Automation task related to Software.
  • Strong collaboration with Product Sales Team for new projects including demos.
  • During the project phase:
- Integration of new software solutions into existing technical customer environments.
- System installation and configuration of software products including tools and their controllers.
- Handling of change requests.
- Testing and validation.
- Problem analysis and elimination of errors.
- Customer trainings.
- Supporting customer in pilot phases, while ramping up the production.
  • During the maintenance phase additionally:
- Ongoing remote or onsite production support.
- Follow up on IT incidents with product company.
- Shift support if necessary.
- Reconfiguration and modification.
- Software updates.
- Preventive Maintenance, Calibration and other services (such as Installation and Commissioning, troubleshooting etc.) related to Industrial tools.To succeed, you will need
  • Degree or diploma in Information Technology/Electronics and Communication, or equivalent.
  • Certification courses in software and database are advantageous.
  • Proven professional experience as a system administrator in the IT sector.
  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in the field.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • A Team Player with strong communication skill.
  • Server and workstation administration on Windows and UNIX, preferably including cluster technologies.
  • Installation and troubleshooting of hardware platforms.
  • Network technology and data communications.
  • ORACLE and Microsoft SQL Server installation and administration.
  • Webserver installation, management and troubleshooting: Apache, IIS.
  • Fluent in verbal and written English, additional local languages would be advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge in industrial automation, fieldbus technique and PLC programming are desirable.
  • Advantageous to have experience with software programming and scripting languages.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to handle complex multitasking situations under pressure.
  • Proactive, dynamic and enthusiastic.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Capability of adapting to flexible schedules.
  • Willing to travel extensively as per business requirement.
