Job Description

Cape Union Mart Outdoor Department is in search of an experienced Field Visual Merchandiser. The team member will need to understand and have experience within the extensive product range that is from Apparel to Equipment. This role will also extend to include working with Head Office Creative Merchandiser. This position will report to two members of the Visual Merchandising team.They will need to be knowledgeable of in-store visual merchandising and how to utilize the retail space effectively to enhance the aesthetic appeal of displays and walkways which will enhance the Customer Journey.The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong visual merchandising background and a thorough understanding of industry best practices in collaboration with CUM strategy and focus.They need to have outstanding interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Detail and deadline oriented. Being a Team player is vital in this role due to the number of team members that they will need to constantly will need to interact with.They will need to have the ability to align with the company vision, be self-motivated and actively involved in overseeing the end-to-end process in the applicable area of responsibility. Requirements

• 3+ years management and leadership
• 5+ years proven experience with visual merchandising and display in a Corporate Retail
• 3+ years of experience managing Visual Merchandising for at least 20
• Experience working in a Retail Store environment highly
• Strong computer skills: Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Proven ability to balance creative merchandising with business
• Have a current driver's licence, a fully functional motor vehicle and an up to date
• Abitlity to travel to up country and Namibia.
