If so, we want you to join our team at Derivco!As a Finance Analyst, you will play a vital role in providing accurate and insightful financial information to support strategic decision-making and drive business growth. Your primary focus will be on budgeting, financial analysis, cost allocation, finance business partnering, and financial modelling.Responsibilities:

  • Lead the budgeting process by collaborating with department heads to develop accurate and achievable annual operating plans and financial targets.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend identification, and scenario modeling, to provide actionable insights for business leaders.
  • Perform cost allocation analyses to identify areas of cost optimization and efficiency improvements across the organization.
  • Be the custodian and interpreter of financial data for the business.
  • Collaborate with business units to develop and maintain financial models that support business forecasting, investment analysis, and decision-making.
  • Establish and maintain effective finance business partnering relationships with cross-functional teams, providing financial guidance and support for their strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and timely financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas of concern.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes by ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data and assisting with preparing financial statements and management reports.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline financial planning and reporting processes, leveraging automation and technology.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to provide relevant insights and recommendations.
  • Assist in ad-hoc financial analysis projects and support cross-functional teams as required.
Required skills and qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the tech/e-commerce industry.
  • Demonstratable knowledge of BI tools and ETL capability.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modelling techniques and tools with expertise in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including non-financial teams.
  • Excellent verbal, visual and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities within deadlines.
Desirable skills and qualifications:
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on process improvement and driving efficiency.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking to contribute to business growth and profitability.
  • Cognos TM1, MagicOrange or other similar FP&A Tools
