We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented FP&A Analyst to join our finance team and support critical financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities. This dynamic role involves close collaboration with the Personal and Business Banking (PBB) team and the Data team to drive impactful data projects and automation initiatives. The successful candidate will focus on data analysis, script writing, and process automation, contributing to the division's financial reporting, planning, and decision-making. By enhancing efficiency in financial processes and optimizing data management, this position plays a vital role in enabling data-driven insights and performance improvements across PBB.

KEY PERFORMANCE
AREA (KPA)
FINANCIAL
Prepare and deliver accurate monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for PBB.
Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain differences between actual results and budget/forecast. Provide clear insights into performance and areas for improvement.
Work closely with business teams to gather data and provide actionable financial insights, helping to drive strategic decision-making.
Support the budgeting and forecasting process for PBB, including model creation, data gathering, and collaboration with different teams to validate assumptions.
Perform financial modelling and scenario analysis to assess the impact of potential business decisions or changes in strategy on financial outcomes.
Present findings to the Management Committee (Manco), offering insights into risks, opportunities, and product performance.
CUSTOMER CENTRICITY
Collaborate with various teams within PBB and broader Finance to understand their financial needs and provide tailored insights that support business strategies and decision-making.
Use data analysis and financial modelling to generate insights that help the PBB division understand customer behaviour, product profitability, and operational performance.
Provide financial guidance and support to PBB's sales teams, offering data-driven recommendations to help them optimize product offerings and improve customer value.
OPERATIONAL
EXCELLENCE
Work closely with the data team to analyse large datasets and uncover key financial and operational insights. SQL knowledge would be advantageous.
Lead efforts to automate and streamline financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end processes. Implement automation solutions that increase efficiency, accuracy, and speed.
Identify bottlenecks in the current financial and reporting processes and proactively suggest and implement improvements to make the processes more efficient.
Collaborate with the data team to enhance financial reporting capabilities by developing and improving reporting through use of Power BI.
Document financial processes and controls to ensure consistency, compliance, and ease of understanding across the finance team.
Maintain process manuals and work instructions to support training, knowledge sharing, and continuity in financial operations.
Act as the liaison between finance and auditors (internal and external), providing all necessary documentation and ensuring timely resolution of queries.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations by addressing auditor recommendations and inquiries.
