Job Description
Are you ready to make a significant impact by ensuring financial accuracy and integrity? A prestigious organisation is seeking an experienced Financial Auditor for a 6-month contract. This crucial role involves conducting comprehensive financial audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. The Finance Auditor will evaluate financial operations, identifying areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to enhance the financial processes and controls.Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive audit plans for financial operations
- Conduct audits to assess the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, records, and reports
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies
- Identify and assess risks associated with financial operations and recommend mitigating controls
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting
- Identify weaknesses in internal controls and provide recommendations for improvement
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement
- Review financial processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
- Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, conclusions, and recommendations
- Document audit procedures, work papers, and evidence supporting audit findings
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CA (SA)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial auditing, preferably within the banking or financial services industry
