Vivo Energy distributes and markets Shell and Engen branded fuels and lubricants to retail and commercial customers in Africa. We operate in 23 countries across North, West, East and Southern Africa where we have a network of over 2500 service stations. We also export lubricants to a number of other African countries.We are looking for an individual to fill the role of Finance Business Analyst reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. This role will work closely with various senior stakeholders to drive our organizationsxe2x80x99 strategic initiatives and ensure operational success. This is a highly visible and impactful role and requires a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual.Principal Accountabilities:xc2xb7 Serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO, with a strong focus on driving forward the Companies key strategic projects.xc2xb7 Act as a liaison between the CFO and other departments within the company, ensuring alignment and effective communicationxc2xb7 Coordinate and manage executive-level meetings and events, including preparation of agendas, meeting materials, and follow-up action itemsxc2xb7 Provide initial investment review and screening of prospective investment opportunitiesxc2xb7 Building and maintaining detailed financial and valuation modelsxc2xb7 Creating presentations for investment proposals and other purposesxc2xb7 Delivering first class analysis, insight and research on potential investment opportunitiesxc2xb7 Coordinating and conducting due diligence on prospective investment opportunitiesxc2xb7 Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risksxc2xb7 Compile reports and make informed recommendations on prospective investment opportunitiesxc2xb7 Gain and update job knowledge to remain informedxc2xb7 Consult with management to guide and influence long term and strategic decision making within the broadest scopexc2xb7 Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, partners, and vendorsxc2xb7 Develop and maintain key performance metrics and dashboards to track the company's progressxc2xb7 Take a lead role in the Companies emerging buy and build strategy, including leading target evaluation and integration planning and execution.Key Competencies/Skillsxc2xb7 Sound financial understanding of accounting knowledge and business planning / performance management incl. experience with major business performance drivers (e.g. sales, operating costs, EBITDA, Cash Flows, capex, ROACE etc.)xc2xb7 Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PPT-Sound Excel modelling skills, including financial valuation, market sizing, scenario analyses etc.-Experience developing presentations summarizing results, options and recommendationsxc2xb7 Strong analytical skills and high attention to detailxc2xb7 A developed commercial awareness, including knowledge of corporate strategy frameworks/tools (incl. market sizing, business planning/modelling, etc.) and standard M&A processes (including DCF modeling/valuation, negotiations, data room management, etc.)xc2xb7 Project management skills incl. meeting coordination, actions & deliverables tracking, document management etc.xc2xb7 Broad scanning and research skills and interest in the natural resources/energy sector globally and in emerging market contexts, including key trends (e.g. energy transition), new business models, competitive analyses etc.xc2xb7 Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in English; working knowledge of French is a plusxc2xb7 Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders and to work collaboratively with individuals in a matrix / project team environmentxc2xb7 Highly motivated and able to flourish in a fast-paced, high-commitment environment - we are looking for a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, able to work with minimal supervision with a high level of personal integrityResults oriented, disciplined, able to synthesize detailed informationRequirementsxc2xb7 Minimum Bachelor level qualification, ideally in Finance/STEM (technical) or similar professional qualification. MBA qualification is an advantage, but not essential.xc2xb7 Minimum 3-5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in an investment banking, strategy consulting, or other professional services environment (ideally investment banking international bulge-bracket / leading local SA financial institution and/or MBB / Finance Big 4 consulting experience)xc2xb7 Oil and gas/energy experience and downstream/Africa experience a plusxc2xb7 Understanding of global energy markets preferredxc2xb7 Experience in industry due-diligence and financial modellingxc2xb7 Participation in investment banking training program/ graduate program is an advantage
