  • Develop and implement financial strategies
  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyse trends, and provide actionable insights to drive strategic decision-makingEnsure timely, accurate financial reporting, adhering to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory standards, and company policies.
  • Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Lead the finance team, providing mentorship, guidance, and development opportunities.
  • Spearhead financial projects such as system implementations and process improvements, ensuring timely, in-scope, and within-budget delivery.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks
  • Implement internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.
  • Review agreements for financial soundness and manage outstanding debts to minimise bad debt risk.
  • Collaborate with senior management, department heads, and external stakeholders to align financial objectives with business goals.
  • Effectively communicate financial performance and strategy to key stakeholders, including the board and investors.
  • Perform financial analysis to support decision-making, focusing on profitability, cost control, and pricing strategies
Job Experience & Skills Required:Qualifications:
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • BCom Accounting / Finance
  • BCom Honours
  • CIMA
Experience:
  • 8-10 years of financial leadership experience, with at least 3 years in management accounting, ideally within retail, FMCG or Pharmaceutical.
Skills & Competencies:
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS standards.
  • Strong financial acumen and modelling skills.
  • Expertise in management accounting and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational awareness.
