The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting and bookkeeping skills, extensive experience with financial software, and a proactive approach to task management and process improvement.Key Responsibilities:Manage and execute payroll functions, including UK-specific payroll processes.Utilize Xero (including Payroll and Cashflow) to manage financial records; Xero certification is highly desirable.Handle UK VAT and tax requirements, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting.Oversee financial and management reporting for projects and jobs, focusing on field service management and job costing.Use SimPRO or other FSM tools for efficient project management and financial tracking.Prepare and manage different P&Ls for various business units, present financial accounts, and utilize ratios and cash flow forecasts for budgeting.Manage capital assets and investments, report on contract profitability, and ensure accurate financial statements.Develop and implement audit policies and procedures, write SOPs, and create checklists to streamline processes.Foster strong communication and organizational skills, ensuring clear and effective interactions with team members, suppliers, and customers.Requirements:Qualified accountant or bookkeeper with relevant experience in a managed service provider, billing services, or telecommunications packages/service-based/resell-based business models.Extensive experience with Xero, including Payroll and Cashflow; Xero certification preferred.Proven track record of running payroll, preferably within the UK.In-depth knowledge of UK VAT and tax regulations.Experience with financial and management reporting for projects/jobs, including job costing and field service management.Proficiency in using SimPRO software or other FSM tools.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial records and transactions.Proactive approach to planning, task management, and collaboration with team members.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with suppliers and customers.Commercial acumen, capable of handling queries and negotiations with suppliers and customers.Desired Soft Skills:High productivity and strong organizational skills in task and project management.Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial statements and transaction records.Proactive planning and forward-thinking in task management and team collaboration.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, ensuring clarity and professionalism in all interactions.
