Job Summary The Finance Team has a vacancy available for a Junior Financial Controller and is looking for a strategic-minded finance professional with a passion for delivering insights that shape business success. Minimum Requirements B Com Financial Accounting Must have completed Articles as a CA or SAIPA 1 to 2 years post article experience Good communication skills and attention to detail are important for this role Knowledge and Skills xc2xb7 Strong interpersonal skills xc2xb7 Knowledge of legal processes xc2xb7 Team Player and driven to achieve goals xc2xb7 Ability to manage own time effectively xc2xb7 Strong organizational skills xc2xb7 Good understanding of credit laws xc2xb7 Strong attention to detail xc2xb7 Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels xc2xb7 Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure Responsibilities Calculating and preparing of all journals. Preparations of balance sheet recons. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances. Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements. Preparing monthly VAT and EMP201 returns. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting. Research technical accounting issues for compliance. Support month-end and year-end close process. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. Manage and comply with local, state, and government reporting requirements and tax filings. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Preparing monthly management accounts. Review and release payments. Ensuring Tax and VAT compliance. Maintaining and reconciling income statement and balance sheet accounts. Reviewing credit notes requests and creditors reconciliations. Preparing and processing month end adjustments. Processing foreign supplier invoices. Quarterly business processes auditing for all divisions. Maintaining the fixed assets register. Additional controller duties as necessary. Assisting with external and internal audit requirements.
