Requirements:

• Honours Degree in Accounting.
• CA (SA), a strong advantage.
• 2 years post articles experience essential.
• Proven working experience as a Finance Controller or Supervisor.
• Understanding of a project-based environment pref.
• Knowledge of Sage VIP.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the finance function, including:

• Analysing financial data
• Managing cost optimising projects
• Making recommendations for improvement.
• Manage and co-ordinate the preparation of budget and financial forecasts.
• Manage the budget process, and report variances.
• Manage audits and attend to queries.
• Compile and review all financial reporting, including financial statements and financial results.
• Manage all accounting operations, including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Payroll and Asset Control.
• Support and ensure month-end and year-end close processes, quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting, reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures (GAAP & IFRS).
• Knowledge of system and process implementations.
