Job Description

:
Assist with the preparation of monthly, interim, and year-end financial reports
Support ad-hoc financial reporting and detailed analysis as required by the business
Contribute to the review and analysis of balance sheet reconciliations during the quarterly Internal Financial Controls review
Create and maintain new SAC reports to improve financial data analysis and reporting efficiencies
Monitor financial control environments to ensure effective implementation of internal controls and processes
Continuously update the group financial control matrix with relevant controls and accountable personnel
Ensure the timely processing and control of financial transactions
Assist in preparing monthly management reports and ensure efficient group reporting processes
Collaborate with the Financial Manager to ensure the effectiveness of the groups reporting mechanisms
Assist with the preparation of statutory annual financial statements for all subsidiaries of the group
Support the planning, allocation, and compilation of annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Manage the compilation process using relevant financial software and toolsSkills & Experience:
Strong understanding of financial controls and reporting processes
Experience in preparing and analysing financial statements
Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools
Knowledge of financial regulations, best practices, and reporting standards
Minimum of two years of relevant finance and reporting experience, ideally within the retail industry and in a JSE-listed company
Preferably gained within the retail industry and a JSE-listed company
Strong knowledge of IFRS standards
Proficient in MS Office, SAP, and CasewareQualification:
