Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Category Financial Director to ensure financial integrity, compliance with IFRS, and adherence to policies.
- Lead the financial management of the business unit, overseeing procedures, and managing FSSC accountants.
- Review and oversee financial reporting, including management packs, budgets, forecasts, tax packs, and more.
- Provide strong financial support across Marketing, Innovation, NPD, and Pricing scenarios.
- Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and year-end processes.
- Manage month-end close processes and review journals and reconciliations.
- Implement and maintain financial systems, controls, and proper reporting structures.
- Manage foreign exchange transactions and ensure compliance with IFRS and Group forex policy.
- Provide annual declarations of assets and business risks for insurance purposes.
- CA(SA) qualification preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, and coaching skills.
- Business analytical skills and a solid finance background.
- Proficiency in financial software applications, databases, and spreadsheets.
- Ability to make sound, independent judgments.
- 8 - 12 years total experience, with 3 5 years in relevant FMCG management accounting.
- Submission of accurate and timely financial reports.
- Achievement of Personal Development Plan goals and performance appraisals.
- Cultivation of a positive team culture and low staff turnover.
- Limiting audit findings.
