My client is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their team and take charge of their financial operations.This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on their business while leading a talented finance team.This role is based in Wadeville, Johannesburg East.Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Oversight: Provide strategic leadership and oversee financial accounting, driving business growth and monitoring business performance.
• Governance & Monitoring: Ensure robust finance governance and continuous monitoring of financial activities.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to drive continuous improvement within the finance function.
• Financial Reporting: Deliver comprehensive and accurate monthly reports, offering insights into business performance and key drivers to support decision-making.
• Executive Presentations: Present monthly and quarterly reviews of management accounts to group executives.
• Month-End Finalization: Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure efficient month-end finalization.
• Cost Saving Initiatives: Understand, manage, and coordinate cost-saving initiatives across the business.
• Compliance: Strictly adhere to group reporting timelines and ensure financial compliance with group standards.
• Working Capital Management: Oversee debtor management, maintain relationships with key suppliers, ensure timely payments, and manage stock.
• Capex Management: Understand capex requirements, asset utilization, capex reporting, and Economic Value Added (EVA) modeling.
• Audits & Taxation: Manage yearly financial audits, tax, and deferred tax calculations.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Drive and manage the preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring timely submission to the group.
• Team Engagement & Training: Engage continuously with finance staff, provide training, identify areas for improvement, and manage the finance team to ensure optimal performance.
• Performance Culture: Foster a culture of striving for better performance and managing accountability within the finance team.
• Return on Capital Employed (ROCE): Drive ROCE improvements.
• Payroll Management: Review and sign off bi-weekly/monthly payroll reports.
• Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Insightful Analysis: Understand and provide insights into manufacturing and product costing.

Qualifications and Experience Needed:

• BCom degree in Accounting or Finance related.
• Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles.
• 5 years proven experience in a similar finance management role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in financial reporting and compliance.
