SUMMARY:

Join my client's dynamic team and play a pivotal role in driving financial performance, compliance, and operational efficiency.This role is based in Johannesburg North.Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the Financial Plan and Budget in line with the companyxe2x80x99s strategic objectives. Present recommendations for approval to the MD.
• Conduct monthly financial reviews, analyzing departmental performance against budget. Address variances and implement corrective measures.
• Oversee and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and system integrity, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
• Continuously review and enhance policies, procedures, and internal controls, ensuring compliance with GAAP, IFRS, Companies Act, Income Tax Act, VAT Act, and SOX.
• Manage and control financial access levels to ensure proper segregation of duties.
• Communicate and train relevant staff on updates to financial policies and procedures.
• Provide weekly financial insights to the Sales team, advising on pricing strategies and risk management.
• Prepare and present monthly trading accounts, interpreting variances per product and optimizing profitability.
• Oversee financial operations for group or affiliated companies, ensuring effective communication and risk mitigation.
• Manage third-party payments, ensuring compliance with policies and resolving supplier queries efficiently.
• Ensure the timely processing of creditors' payments and communicate credit policies to internal and external stakeholders.
• Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
• Oversee the month-end and year-end financial closure to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Requirements:

• Bcom degree in Accounting/Finance related.
• Completed SAICA Articles.
• Proven experience in a Finance Manager role.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
• Expertise in budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
