Purpose of Position/Role

To Provide strategic leadership on financial matters and oversee financial operations of the business and delivering an effective finance service offering that is aligned with the group's financial strategy.

To oversee the group's business activities and improve its business functions to achieve operational efficiency. Responsible for the group's risk management function and mitigating the risk exposures. Accountable for ensuring that the group achieves its strategic objectives.

To play a critical role in driving new business initiatives, capital raising, tax management and property investments, management and development.

Reports to and support the CEO to formulate, facilitate and drive strategic initiatives of the business in line with the company resolutions.

Responsibilities

Oversee the overall financial management of the group. This includes planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company.

Direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning and costing, as well as oversight on key operational functions.

Provide timely and accurate analysis of management accounts, financial results and monthly cash flows and reporting to the CEO, on a regular basis, progress against plan and reasons for material variances.

Design and implement effective internal controls and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks.

Oversee the group's investment portfolio, achieving healthy liquidity and solvency ratios.

Implement effective risk management strategies across the group

KPIs.

Cash flow management.

1. Implement an effective debtors and creditors management strategy to achieve positive cashflows.

2. Optimize operating expenses in line with business activities.

Tax planning and Risk management

1. Implement effective tax management strategies across the group.

2. Identify risks and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.

Property Investments and Management

1. Drive property Investments in line with the group's diversification strategy.

2. Oversee Capex and Opex budgets of the property portfolio in line with approved budgets.

3. Achieve key property performance metrics as set out by management.

Performance Management

1. Manage the P&L account in line with budgets to achieve agreed performance metrics.

2. Balance Sheet Management (Improve Equity, Gearing ratio, liquidity ratios).

3. Operating Cost management - Cost optimization

4. Process Optimization to achieve operational efficiency.

Experience:

Minimum 7+ years of experience in accounting and financial management. Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting principles. Proficiency in financial software (SAGE, etc) and advanced Excel skills. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Competent in strategy formulation and performance management. Proficient in cashflow management (debtors and creditors management)

Qualifications required:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Professional certification such as CIMA or ACCA is a plus.

Compensation

An annual cost to company remuneration package will commensurate with the technical skills and experience of the successful candidate.
