Financial Manager Job Summary
Oversee and manage all General Ledger accounting functions, produce Financial Statements, and support the CFO by managing the accounting department.Main Responsibilities

  • Full accounting function, including general ledger preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit preparation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting within strict deadlines.
Duties
  • Supervise staff performance.
  • Compile and review balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
  • Manage cash flow and approve payments.
  • Authorize and sign cheques within mandate.
  • Ensure quality in consolidated financial statements and management reports.
  • Assist in board pack preparations.
  • Handle month and year-end journals, budgets, forecasts, and annual financial statements.
  • Prepare VAT, provisional tax, and income tax returns.
  • Supervise administration and enforce discipline within the department.
  • Manage the Fixed Asset Register and daily integrations/reconciliations.
  • Enhance system controls and processes.
  • Handle ERP system issues and user queries.
  • Approve credit applications.
Qualifications
  • B Com Accounting / CIMA or equivalent (Articles essential).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Minimum 5 years in a financial accounting role.
  • Acumatica and transport industry experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of tax and accounting principles.
