Work Schedule: 2.5 to 3 days per week
Experience: 6-10 years
Location: Western CapeKey Responsibilities:

  • Full Financial Management
Oversee the entire finance function, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and industry regulations. * Financial Reporting & AnalysisPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Provide insightful analysis of financial performance, identifying key trends and variances to support business decisions. * Cash Flow ManagementMonitor and manage cash flow, ensuring efficient cash usage and liquidity. Prepare and present cash flow forecasts to the senior management team. * Cost Management & EfficiencyDevelop cost-saving strategies and implement measures to improve financial efficiency in operations. Analyze costs and advise on profitability improvement opportunities. * Tax ComplianceOversee the preparation and submission of all tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations (e.g., VAT, income tax). * Audit & ComplianceCoordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring that all financial practices are compliant with regulatory standards. * Team Leadership & CollaborationWork closely with other departments, including sales, procurement, and operations, to ensure financial alignment across the organization. Provide leadership and mentoring to junior finance team members. * Financial Strategy & Risk ManagementAssist the executive team with financial planning, risk management, and investment decision-making. Advise on key financial strategies to drive business growth. Requirements:
  • BCom Accounting degree ( essential)
  • 6-10 years of experience in a finance role, with a strong background in the FMCG sector.
  • Proven experience managing the full finance function, including financial reporting, budgeting, tax, and cash flow management.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data to guide decision-making.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS or GAAP) and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • A strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Relevant qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CIMA, CA(SA), or equivalent will be advantageous).
