We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Finance Manager to oversee the financial reporting, treasury management, and compliance processes across our clients African subsidiaries. This role plays a critical part in ensuring financial accuracy, driving strategic decision-making, and leading key finance-related projects.   • Support and drive the finance strategy in alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop action plans, ensuring clear specifications, timelines, and budgets for execution.
  • Oversee key financial processes, including CEO and group reports, budgets, forecasts, and audits.
  • Prepare and analyze various business reports, including store income statements, financial presentations, and key financial insights.
  • Manage banking relationships, payment systems, and store deposits across multiple African regions.
  • Ensure smooth handling of store transactions and cash flow optimization.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of inventory across different product categories.
  • Monitor gross profit performance and oversee reconciliation of import/export transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations, including VAT, tax laws, and central bank policies.
  • Provide guidance to country financial managers to ensure adherence to governance requirements.
  • Maintain and enhance treasury policies, covering cash flow management, counterparty risk, and repatriation priorities.
  • Oversee timely and accurate submission of tax returns (VAT, PAYE, corporate tax, etc.).
  • Ensure tax accounting and reporting align with IFRS and relevant local standards.
  • Set clear objectives for the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and success.
  • Motivate and develop team members, driving continuous improvement and high performance.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Qualified CA (SA) with a minimum of 5 years' finance experience.
  • At least 3 years of audit management experience.
  • Previous leadership or management experience (preferred).
  • Retail industry experience is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of financial controls, governance, and IFRS (including IFRS for SMEs).
  • Experience in consolidations, including Non-Controlling Interest (NCI) and changes in control.
  • Expertise in tax calculations and structuring, risk management, and compliance.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial systems and MS Office / Google Suite.
  • Willingness to travel across Africa when required.
  • South African citizenship required.
