Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

What this position is about - Purpose

This position is responsible for collating data from various sources and analyzing and reporting on financial information in a meaningful and interpretive fashion, timeously and accurately.

What will you do - Responsibilities:

• Responsible for preparation of financial planning information within a 3-year horizon to facilitate business decision-making and risk management. This includes sales figures, pricing, P&L, Balance sheet, finished goods inventory planning, and production planning in conjunction with the Logistics Manager
• Responsible for financial analysis - local and global reporting - by collating information to analyze and explain variances in sales, cost, and expenses (volume, mix, and price variances). The checking of correctness and the integrity of information, thereby ensuring that information is accurate and reliable and providing the business with sound input
• Prepare and coordinate approval requests according to the Business Approval and Memo process within the JTI global operating guidelines, by providing financial information (budgets, cash flow, etc.) and facilitating the approval process
• Generation, checking, and submission of regional and global standard and ad hoc reports, to comply with global reporting guidelines, within set frequencies
• Responsible for preparing the subsequent updates of the Annual plan (Latest Estimates 2 updates/pa) that includes the revision of the base assumptions. Provide required input for Regional/Global Performance management meetings that include a financial and economic update to facilitate timeous decision-making. (10 updates/pa). Responsible for monitoring the annual plan in terms of analysis of variances, actual vs. plan, PY, and Les
• Manage cash flow projects and analyze variances vs. actuals. Prepare cash flow projections for submission to the Global Treasury
• Calculate and update transfer prices between entities in compliance with JTI's Transfer pricing guidelines, Distributor Agreements & tax structures
• Maintain material costs and Purchase info Records (PIR) on SAP. Liaise with producing factories as well as Global Supply Chain to ensure all materials are costed and PIR maintained promptly on SAP, Mass update of all costs required annually at year-end
• Administer the South Africa TM1 model, Load actual financials and volumes every month, and create and balance new scenarios as required. Load product cost for each budgeting scenario from the JTI in-house portal (IBP), Upload submissions from TM1 to GPM, Liaise with TM1 consultants as necessary, Take responsibility for any FP&A involvement required for any Global system changes (EG. SAP, Reporting, etc.) and global Reporting Requirement, Maintain marketing budgets on SAP, Prepare financials for PLM tasks as assigned, Calculate and share with the business the gross margins of each Brand Style, highlighting any risk to the Profit target

Whom are we looking for - Requirements:

• Tertiary education in Finance or equivalent diploma, CA (SA,) CIMA
• 3 Years experience in FP&A covering Management OCC, Entity and MFCF
• Advanced Excel, SAP, PowerPoint, GPM, TM1
