Our client, a JSE listed group based in Sandton, Jhb has an opportunity available for a Financial Reporting Process Lead to join their team. We are looking for a CA(SA) who has experience building reporting processes from scratch, analysis existing processes and making continuous improvements.POSITION INFO:

Skills and experience required:

• Ideally looking for a candidate who has built a shared service reporting process from scratch and overseen the end to end of the reporting process
• Expert knowledge on reporting processes and impacts of both upstream and downstream process steps
• Experience working on continuous improvement reporting processes
• CA(SA) who is comfortable working on transactional level detail to keep track of volumes, cycle times, quality, accuracy, and stakeholder satisfaction
• Thorough understanding of process reengineering
• Experience of working in finance transformation and driving significant change through business process.

Job description:

• Report to Group Shared Services Finance Lead
• Lead and manage operational accounting teams consisting of General accounting team, Fixed Assets Accounting team & Bank Processing team
• Benchmark processes against industry leaders, identify external best practices and drive continuous process optimisation.
• Manage and lead process improvements, process re-engineering & identify opportunities for automation
• Perform in-depth troubleshooting to support operations delivery, quality management and control.
• Participate in special projects
• Drive ongoing standardisation and change within the operational accounting and transactional processing activities
• Responsible for sub-ledger to general ledger reconciliations.
• Responsible for monthly management account preparation and presentation of management accounts to Brand Finance teams.
• Monthly statutory reporting for group reporting.
• Designs operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency.
• Agree on process responsibilities across organisational silos, conduct process reviews and approve or reject process deviation requests.
• Process re-engineering and technology implementation
