In search of a finance professional to join and lead my clients finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in finance and a proven track record of bridging the gap between finance and operations. This role will be instrumental in overseeing the debtors and creditors managers, as well as partnering with the Group Financial Manager to ensure accurate monthly reports are submitted.Job & Company Description

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in finance and a proven track record of bridging the gap between finance and operations. This role will be instrumental in overseeing the debtors and creditors managers, as well as partnering with the Group Financial Manager to ensure accurate monthly reports are submitted.Duties:

• Bridge the gap between finance and operations, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration between departments
• Oversee the debtors and creditors managers, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient management of accounts receivable and payable
• Partner with the Group Financial Manager to ensure accurate and timely submission of monthly financial reports
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to streamline finance operations and improve efficiency
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance performance
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development

Qualifications & skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• SAIPA or SAICA articles preferred
• Proven experience in a finance leadership role, preferably within the logistics, import, or export industry. Will consider manufacturing, FMCG, retail, agriculture and hospitality
• Strong understanding of financial principles and practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
• Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
