Job Description

This role reports to the Financial Manager - Logistics.Responsibilities:

• Budgeting and Financial Analysis: Assist in coordinating and preparing budgets, financial forecasts, and scenario planning. Track actual vs. budget costs and provide analysis on variances.

• Process Improvement and Internal Controls: Recommend and implement financial processes and improvement measures. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls.

• Reporting and Decision Support: Continuously improve Franchise Network reporting through automation and building financial models. Engage with stakeholders, including Franchise Network, for project initiatives, cost analysis, and SOP implementation.

• Month-end Reporting: Prepare month-end reports, including delivery cost and revenue calculations. Investigate and report on variances, performance indicators, trends, and financial ratios.

• Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Review and reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts.

• Inventory and Asset Management: Manage internal purchases, sales operating stock, and assets provided to Franchisees and owned network facilities.

• Expense Management: Allocate expenses and manage cost center approvals and tracking of purchase orders.

• Team Management: Supervise and manage junior staff.

• Ad Hoc Tasks: Assist senior management with ad hoc tasks as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce with a focus on Accounting/Finance, specialization in Logistics, is desirable.
• CA(SA) or CIMA qualification is advantageous.
• Preference will be given to candidates with 1-3 years of experience in a retail/logistics setting.
• Strong Academic Records
• Proficiency in Advanced Excel and Google Sheets
