Job Description
Our client in the Wholesale Fibre industry is currently looking for a Financial Accountant, Gauteng, South Africa (Remote)Responsibilities:
- Ensure all accounting entries are complete and accurate.
- Clear suspense accounts monthly.
- Process fixed assets and perform reconciliations.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.
- Analyse trial balance & income statement, providing explanations for fluctuations.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and manage non-routine transactions.
- Process insurance claims and prepare insurance reports.
- Prepare accruals and provisions monthly.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Execute month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Support budget preparation and audit processes.
- Handle ad-hoc finance-related projects and tasks as assigned.
- Report directly to the Financial Accounting Manager.
- B.Com Degree in Financial Accounting or a related field.
- 5+ years experience in a similar role.
- Experience in Fixed Assets processing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Advanced Excel skills (Essential)
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (Advantageous)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Start Date: ASAP.
- Must be detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- R40 000 R45 000 per month.
