Job Summary Job & Company Description:
The successful candidate will be proactive and focused on producing accurate accounting work.Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Review and report exceptions for Creditors and Debtors Control, Salary and Wage Control and Bank Reconciliations
• Initiate, prepare, and process monthly journals
• Distribute monthly general ledger reports to operations
• Maintain general ledger, reconcile inter-company loans and transactions, investigate income statement variances
• Check, approve, and release EFT payments, and ensure the accuracy and validity of petty cash
• Collect stock take information from operational units, conduct monthly stock count inspections, and reconcile physical counts
• Report stock variances to operational units and ensure resolutions
• Provide guidelines and support for annual audit stock count preparations
• Assist in the preparation and review of draft management accounts and forecast data analysis, supporting management accounting in producing accurate management account packs and monthly reports
• Cost management and analysis

Education:

• BCom degree in Finance or Accounting required
• Qualified SAIPA

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Completed SAIPA articles
• Post article experience in a full function accounting role
• Manufacturing / FMCG / Import and Export industry experience essential
• Sage Evolution experience essential
• Management experience essential
• Advanced Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational skills
• Business and financial acumen
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Able to analyse statistical information and interpret financial data to produce reports
• Good oral and written communication skills
