xc2xb7 Budget preparation and variance analysis
xc2xb7 Audit processes and compliance
xc2xb7 Payroll and personnel administration
xc2xb7 Supervising and developing finance teamsSkills and Knowledge (essential)xc2xb7 Proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel skills preferred)
xc2xb7 Experience with ACCPAC accounting software
xc2xb7 Knowledge of VIP Payroll
xc2xb7 Familiarity with hospitality PMS systems (NEBULA preferred)

xc2xb7 Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

xc2xb7 Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlinesJob Purposexc2xb7 Assist in the development and maintenance of financial controls over all aspects of the unit's business.
xc2xb7 Support Finance Managers, Operations Managers, and General Managers in compiling budgets, developing programmes, and setting objectives for efficient and profitable hotel operations.
xc2xb7 Analyse and interpret financial accounts monthly for each property and report any anomalies to the Group CEO.
xc2xb7 Oversee the year-end audit process for the properties.
xc2xb7 Prepare and present monthly financial packs to the Finance Manager.
xc2xb7 Compile and present weekly financial reports to the Financial Manager.
xc2xb7 Generate variance reports on budget overspends.
xc2xb7 Prepare monthly financial reports, highlighting variances, discrepancies, or strategic changes.
xc2xb7 Ensure adherence to all financial manuals and checklists.
xc2xb7 Develop and implement additional financial policies and procedures, subject to CEO approval.
xc2xb7 Guide and supervise unit administrative staff to meet financial expectations.
xc2xb7 Enhance accounting staff skills, job satisfaction, and development.
xc2xb7 Oversee training and development within the unit's accounting departments.Personnel Functionxc2xb7 Maintain personnel files, contracts, leave schedules, medical aid, provident fund, etc.
xc2xb7 Ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
xc2xb7 Oversee payroll administration.
xc2xb7 Conduct audits of all employee file documentation.Other Requirementsxc2xb7 Valid RSA ID
