Job Description
The world's largest transportation and courier conglomerate seeks an experienced and analytical Financial Accountant with a fluency in German, to join their dynamic South African team based in Johannesburg East.This will role will act as a back office support to the growing European finance function.Job & Company Description:
The successful incumbent will be responsible for overall accuracy and completion of financial reporting and accounting processes. The role will also support the development of a FP&A.Duties Include:
- Facilitate completeness and accuracy of month-end procedure
- Review group cost results
- Processing of transactions
- Interpret and provide insights related to group cost structures
- Production of financial results
- Engagement with business in determining financial impact of business projects
- Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Lead engagement with auditors and finalisation of audit files
- Providing financial guidance
- Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
BCom degree in Finance or AccountingJob Experience & Skills Required:
4 to 5 years' experience within an accounting and audit function essential
Fluency in German and English ESSENTIAL
Logistics or courier industry experience beneficial
Expert Microsoft Excel skills
Strong analytical skills
Finance and business acumen
Meticulous attention to detail
