Job Description

The world's largest transportation and courier conglomerate seeks an experienced and analytical Financial Accountant, with a fluency in German, to join their dynamic South African team based in Johannesburg East. This will role will act as a back office support to the growing European finance function.POSITION INFO:
The successful incumbent will be responsible for overall accuracy and completion of financial reporting and accounting processes. The role will also support the development of a FP&A.Duties Include:

• Facilitate the completeness and accuracy of month-end procedures
• Review group cost results
• Process transactions
• Interpret and provide insights related to group cost structures
• Produce financial results
• Engage with business in determining the financial impact of business projects
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes
• Lead engagement with auditors and finalisation of audit files
• Provide financial guidance
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations

Education:

• BCom degree in

or Accounting
Job Experience & Skills Required:

• 4 to 5 years' experience within an accounting and audit function essential
• Fluency in German and English ESSENTIAL
• Logistics or courier industry experience beneficial
• Expert Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Finance and business acumen
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Deadline driven
