Exciting opportunity for an Accountant in a dynamic environment.Job & Company Description:
A reputable organization is seeking a skilled Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both the private sector, with strict deadlines, and the public sector, adhering to PFMA requirements. This role involves preparing periodic management accounts, maintaining financial reports, and overseeing cash flow management for multiple branches. The Accountant will also manage B-BBEE reporting and ensure compliance with all relevant financial legislation.
Other duties include:
- Collation, processing, reconciliation, and maintenance of Finance branch accounts and reports.
- Preparation and maintenance of B-BBEE reports, filings, and documentation.
- Overseeing transactions for the Mpumalanga Department of Education branch.
- Preparing and updating cashflow reports weekly.
- Reviewing and reconciling Corporate Finance Payments.
- Managing all audit requirements and ensuring the availability of audit files.
- Completed BCom degree
- 3 to 4 years of Accounting experience to Trial Balance.
- Strong consolidation and Excel skills.
- Familiarity with RSA Financial Statutory and Tax requirements.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain high levels of accuracy.
