Job Description

Job Summary The successful candidate will be responsible for the financial accounting functions of 11 companies, in the various sectors such as debt collection, energy, financial services, financial wellness and training, financial investments and property investments
The role will include the following:Oversee full accounting function up to Annual Financial Statements
Oversee full payroll function for all companies
Run annual external audits for all companies
Perform monthly management reporting
Cashflow management and planning
Procuring finance and liaising with Banks
Analyse internal controls and identify weak controls, improve and implement internal controls
Verify compliance with laws and regulations: Companies Act, Income Tax Act and VAT Act
Submission of all statutory returnsKey result areas are as follows:

Prepare Monthly Management Accounts (MMAs)
Review Monthly Salaries
Review Monthly Journals
Review Monthly Cashbooks
Manage Company Cashflows
Prepare and Submit SARS Returns xe2x80x93 All Companies
Income Tax Returns
Provisional Tax Returns
VAT Returns
DWT Returns
Ad Hoc Reporting xe2x80x93 All Companies
Working with Commercial Banks - Funding, Covenants, FICA and annual reviews
Working with HR in BEE certification
Stats SA submissions
Oversee Finance Department Functions
3rd party collections - Submissions, Collections, Allocations of collections
Referral agents commission payments
Direct deposit allocations
Insurance underwriter reports
Fund requests by branches
Loan disbursement approvals
Petty cash
Refunds payments
Staff loans
Establish & Implement Policies, Procedures, Strategy and Workflows
Create and implement policies, procedures and workflows to create operational efficiencies and minimise manual processes
General
Provide assistance on special projects within the finance function.
Assist in obtaining information for ad hoc requests received from both internal and external stakeholders.Qualifications:
Chartered Accountant SAExperience:
At least 3-5 years post articles experience
Excellent Excel, Word and Outlook experience
Sage Pastel Partner Accounting
Pastel Payroll & HR 2024
MRI Property Central (formerly MDA Property Manager) (advantageous)
