Diversified and established group based in the Cape Winelands is searching for an adept and ambitious Financial Accountant. The business is mainly involved in Commercial Agriculture, Export, Property Development, Retail, and Marketing.The ideal candidate will have completed SAIPA, SAICA, or CIMA articles, have a minimum of 3 years finance and accounting experience, and some exposure to agriculture, farming, export, or marketing will be advantageous. Candidates qualified by experience within this industry and a similar role will also be considered.This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and adept finance professional wanting to join a large and established group of companies for the next step in their career. The incumbent will report directly to the Financial Manager.Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage company financial information effectively and efficiently.
• Prepare Management Accounts.
• Oversee and manage bookkeepers and admin staff.
• Review processing Cash Books and allocating income and expenses.
• Manage and review Online Banking transactions and reports.
• Review reconciliation of Accounts (Debtors, Creditors and Bank).
• Manage and review Accounts Payable and Receivable functions.
• Assisting with CAPEX, Fixed Assets and asset management.
• Posting Monthly Journals.
• Invoicing of clients.
• Issuing of credit notes and debit notes, as required.
• Client statements upkeep.
• Communication of client statements to clients.
• Allocating and reconciling funds received.
• Submit UCRs to the bank on foreign income received.
• Reconciliation of client accounts.
• Support to Financial Manager.
• Financial Audit support as required.
• Investigate financial discrepancies and irregularities.
• Data management and processing.
• Ad hoc duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or similar.
• Completed SAICA, SAIPA, CIMA articles preferred.
• Professional qualification such as PA(SA), AGA(SA) or CIMA designation seen as a positive.
• Minimum 3 years experience.
• MS Excel skills essential.
• Advanced Excel with knowledge of financial modelling, pivot tables, finance formula etc.
• Xero Accounting systems experience a plus.
• Agriculture, Citrus, Processing, Manufacturing, Export, and/or Production environment beneficial.
• Hard-working, eager to learn new skills and flexible in taking on new tasks.
• Thrives in a pressured environment.
• Good people skills.

Remuneration:R360,000 to R420,000 pa cost to company, depending on experience.
