Our strategy for 2025 and beyond is one of growth, especially in our impact fund management and investment readiness accelerators.Position OverviewAs a Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in assessing and preparing businesses for investment opportunities and access to finance. You will analyze financial data, assess market potential, and provide strategic recommendations to enhance investment attractiveness. Your insights will be crucial in guiding clients towards securing the necessary capital to grow and succeed. Your goal will be to educate and support our entrepreneurs with financial proposals, provide training, basic business analysis and ecosystem management.Who are we looking for?

• An individual who has experience or natural flare for financial analysis, review of financial statements and valuations of SME businesses with support and guidance from the team

• The role requires experience in business growth strategies, good relationship building skills, and strong analytical abilities.

• The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills

• An individual with great people skills and can communicate technical information in laymans terms.

• Able to think abstractly, be influential, innovative and problem-solve.

• Have a passion for embarking on new projects, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

What will you do:

• Ensure that department KPIs are met to standard - meet access to growth finance as per project KPI

• Facilitate deal flow meetings between SME's on Fetola Accelerators and Alumni, and current clients that have various funding solutions and maintain a CRM database of these stakeholders

• SMEs are well prepared and matched with appropriate client investment/ financing options

• Support provided to the team to enable success, including project management, resource and budget management, as needed

• Provide support for SME deal identification and origination and maintain the deal room

• Assisting in the scoping and coordination of due diligence for the SME businesses

• Assisting in the financial management processes for the SMEs

• Preparation of pitch deck, transaction documentation and presentations for Investment Committee review with support of the manager

• Development of sound relationships with key project stakeholders from our SMEs, Alumni and Mentors

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Financial Management and/or Financial Accounting background (advantageous)

• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, investment banking, or related roles.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.

• Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.

• Passion for entrepreneurship/entrepreneurial development and supporting entrepreneurial ecosystems

• Investment Experience advantageous

• Multilingual (Greatly advantageous if you can speak at least three South African languages)

• Ability to work with diverse populations and build relationships

• Technically proficient (Advanced) in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AI tools

• Project and Process management skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel experience using and creating graphs and pivot tables
