The incumbent will be responsible for financial and operational support to the Africa entities and ensure operational efficiency.:

• Prepare annual tax calculations for review
• Submit corporate tax returns accurately and on time
• Review financial systems to ensure compliance with SARS requirements and accurate accounting
• Communicate with tax authorities and stay updated on taxation knowledge
• Review and prepare financial reporting packs for African countries, including variance analysis and general ledger reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with Group reporting requirements and local GAAP/IFRS
• Develop additional reports and present monthly results at management meetings
• Monitor stock and debtors, ensuring timely actions and provisions
• Prepare business intelligence tools and assist with system optimization
• Implement operational efficiency initiatives and prepare board packs
• Ensure accounting policies and procedures are in place and aligned with Group standards
• Assist with annual statutory audit and internal audits, and release payments
• Liaise with third parties and provide support during critical periods
• Prepare annual risk assessments and manage risks affecting the business
• Assist with due diligence for mergers and acquisitions and manage related records
• Adhere to reporting deadlines, ensure accuracy, and maintain ongoing communication with operational teams
• Perform additional tasks as required, including travel to Africa as needed

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• CA(SA) accreditation is essential
• 5 to 10 years commercial (post-articles) experience
• Proven managerial experience is essential
• 5+ years manufacturing experience is essential
