The Team
The Finance Team at Bluebella runs the P&L, making sure there are checks and balances with each Team. They support the Bluebella business to improve systems and reduce unnecessary cost, making recommendations based on data analysis.
The Role
The Financial Controller will oversee the accounting operations at Bluebella. They will support the CFO and Finance Team to maintain high quality service, overseeing accounting, budgeting and financial reporting - ensuring that financial transactions are accurate and compliant.
Key duties will include maintaining internal controls over financial reporting, presenting financial reports and overseeing the preparation of budgets.
The successful candidate will be a qualified professional accountant with significant experience of overseeing company financial operations. You will be a confident and self-motivated leader, with good interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude - able to integrate effectively with the wider business, whilst working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
Finance
Responsible for all day-to-day financial operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
Monthly Management Accounts preparation.
Coordinating the preparation of budget and financial forecasting and reporting any variances.
Handling Statutory / Regulatory Reporting: Coordinate all aspects of business requirements
Quality Control Over Transactions and Reporting: Oversee and ensure the integrity of financial transactions and reports
Leading on company audits, by maintaining precise trial balances, and driving system enhancements. Supporting the Auditors in the timely preparation and delivery of Annual Financial Statements
Responsible for all International Tax Filings: Staying compliant with all uk and other territory government reporting requirements and tax obligations including corporation Tax, and addressing any queries
Manage Finance Team resources. Assign, monitor, and coordinate assignments (plan and organise work) develop and coach team.
Overseeing banking functions.
Provide technical, procedural and policy guidance to the company.
Support Business leaders and handle any ad hoc challenges
Reporting and Analysis
Leading Business Partnering Meetings and producing reports to support the wider business.
Analyse and interpret financial data and recommend changes to streamline and improve systems and financial performance.
Provide reporting assistance and data for Budget preparations.
Assess financial components (e.g., revenue, expense, operating income and expenses, net income, capex, and cash flows) of all Departments and Companies
Responsible for project financial analysis, exploring feasibilities, profit returns, risks etc... across all group companies
Power BI report creation
Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree and fully Qualified Professional Accountant
5+ years Financial Control experience in a global business environment
Highly analytical, numerical and excellent problem-solving skills.
Confident advanced user of Excel - data driven thinking.
Can demonstrate business acumen and commercial thinking
High attention to detail
Able to work to tight deadlines.
Multi-tasker and highly organized
Proactive in taking initiative to deliver results
Good personal and communication skills with ability to work and communicate across different internal departments.
