The Finance Team has a vacancy available for a Financial Controller and is looking for a strategic-minded finance professional with a passion for delivering insights that shape business success. If you're looking to lead financial operations, drive cost efficiency, and offer strategic guidance, this role is for you. Responsibilities Calculating and preparing of all journals. Preparations of balance sheet recons. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances. Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements. Preparing monthly VAT and EMP201 returns. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting. Research technical accounting issues for compliance. Support month-end and year-end close process. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. Manage and comply with local, state, and government reporting requirements and tax filings. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Preparing monthly management accounts. Review and release payments. Ensuring Tax and VAT compliance. Maintaining and reconciling income statement and balance sheet accounts. Reviewing credit notes requests and creditors reconciliations. Preparing and processing month end adjustments. Processing foreign supplier invoices. Quarterly business processes auditing for all divisions. Maintaining the fixed assets register. Additional controller duties as necessary. Minimum Requirements Must have a minimum B Com Financial Accounting with articles (SAICA or SAIPA) completed Minimum 2 - 4 years post articles experience is essential Must have advanced Excel skills with Microsoft Navision & Bi Wise will be an advantage. Good communication skills and attention to detail are important for this role Knowledge and Skills Strong interpersonal skills Knowledge of legal processes Team Player and driven to achieve goals Ability to manage own time effectively Strong organizational skills Good understanding of credit laws Strong attention to detail Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
