Responsible for and overseeing all aspects of accounting, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
Responsible for banking and Cashbook processing and Petty Cash recons.
Leading Budget and Financial Forecasts: responsible for the preparation of our budgets and financial forecasts, reporting on variances.
Publishing Monthly Management Accounts for Group companies.
Ensure timely preparation and delivery of Annual Financial Statements.
Handling Statutory /Regulatory Reporting: Coordinate all aspects of business requirements.
Quality Control over Transactions and Reporting: Oversee and ensure the integrity of financial transactions and reports.
Managing Tax Filings: Stay compliant with all government reporting requirements and tax obligations.
Developing Business Processes and Policies for the finance dept: create and document policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls.
Monitor, and coordinate assignments (plan and organise work).
Determine training needs and identify training courses as required for the skills development plans.
Handle all requirements for the B-BBEE with the external Consultant.
Support Managers with labour relation issues as required.
Provide technical, procedural and policy guidance to the companies.
Handling all aspects of Insurance cover/claims for the Companies, including annual renewals.
Maintain/update the Fixed Asset Registers to track depreciation entries.
Maintain/update the Vehicle Amortization schedules.
REPORTING
Analyse and interpret financial data and recommend changes to improve systems and financial performance.
Assess financial components (e.g., revenue, expense, operating income and expenses, net income, capex, and cash flows) of all Departments and Companies.
Manage the companys fixed assets. Ensure assets are loaded onto the financial system correctly, and that they are depreciated correctly and can be physically verified from the system to the physical location.
FINANCIAL ANALYSIS
Responsible for project financial analysis, exploring feasibilities, profit returns, risks etc...Mainly for the Solar division, but not limited to.
Navigate the dynamic world of Cash Flow, guiding forecasts, and ensuring funding aligns seamlessly.
Lead the charge in audits, maintaining precise trial balances, and driving system enhancements.
Infuse an efficiency mindset, providing insightful and diverse reporting.
Reconciling sales and accounting systems, oversee payroll intricacies, and manage journal entries.
Support Business leaders and handle any ad hoc challenges.
Supporting the Team as required on day to day operations.
REQUIREMENTS
Experienced Financial Controller: Your proven experience in this role has equipped you with deep broad spectrum business insights.
Knowledgeable in Accounting Principles: You have a thorough understanding of accounting procedures and principles, including accounting law.
Financial Statements: Skilled in creating financial statements and familiar with general ledger functions.
Qualified in Your Field: Holding an accounting /finance qualification.
Tech-Savvy in Accounting Software: You bring excellent skills in using and administering accounting software.
