Financial Manager CA SA - DurbanFull job descriptionThe Group Finance Manager is not only responsible to provide advice on how the company and future business decisions might be impacted from a financial perspective but also is responsible to collect, interpret and review financial information as well as produce financial reports related to budgets, account payable, account receivables, expenses etc.The Group Finance Manager is responsible to assist in the development of long-term business plans based on available financial data and develop strategies to minimise financial risk. The role also involves analysing market trends and competitors to predict future financial trends, identify business opportunity, and improve profitability whilst maintaining the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the business and all its subsidiaries.Group Finance Manager will be supporting the General Manager: Finance.Based in UmbogintwiniMain Duties and Responsibilities (Not Exhaustive):GROUP OF COMPANIES [RSA, Thailand, Germany, USA, Mexico]Management of all administrative staff and review of work, dealing with all queries from staff and all day-to-day administration functions (typical of a large company) across all companies in theOversee financial department employeesTrack the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvementSeek out methods for minimising financial risk to the companyProvide insightful information and expectations to senior management to aid in long- term and short-term decision makingReview financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports to be presented to seniorImplement budgets and investigate and substantiate variancesEstablish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the companyUnderstand and adhere to financial regulations andEnsure effective internal controls are in place and compliance with applicable regulatory legislation for financial and taxDevelop financial and tax strategies and ensure compliance.Oversee and ensure the integrity all transactions and processingImplement financial best practices in support of theProvide strategic recommendations to enhance the financial performance of the businessMonthly reconciliation of intercompany loan accounts, debtors, creditors, sales and cost of sales across all companies in the-Liaising with bank and compiling required information regarding SARB exchange control approvals and extensions for forex payments.-Liaise with bank regarding draw downs, FECs, Dual Currency deposits, letters of credit, guarantees and other financialCreate / release and oversee foreign payments for all companiesMaintenance of bank balances and cash flow forecastsAccounting software administrationHolding CompanyPrepare monthly trial balance for management accounts - reconcile all balance sheet accounts and review of income statementLocal payments and banking (dual release system) - Weekly and month endHigh level analysis of monthly creditorsMonthly foreign debtors, creditors and CFC bank account revaluationsProcessing monthly salary journals, reconcile salary control accounts, staff loans and payroll accrual accountsPreparation of audit pack and reports for annual external audit and overseeing the running of auditProcessing of invoices where necessary and monthly foreign cash book processing and reconciliationProvisional tax calculations, returns and paymentsMonthly VAT returns and reconciliations and liaising with SARS regarding any queriesPreparation and submission of annual tax returns and IT14SD ReconciliationsDividend returns and DWT when dividends are declaredInsurance Claims, updates to insurance policiesRental contracts / agreementsAnnual and quarterly STATS SA returnsAssist payroll and HR with tax queries (where required)Policies and ProceduresAdhere to the policy and procedures adopted by the organisationFollow all lawful instructions pertaining to the performance of dutiesHealth and SafetyEnsure all health and safety regulations are compliedEnsure working environment is kept clean andMaintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulationsQualifications and Required experienceQualified CAMust have strong Job costing and international trade and taxation experienceEight to Ten years experience in progressively responsible financial leadership rolespreferably in an automotive/ engineering industry, looking for a new challenge. Experience with SQL reporting and large ERP systems / development is an advantageCharacteristics:Attention to detail with the ability to work with a high level of accuracyAbility to work independently and as a team player Organise, plan and prioritise workThe ability to work unsupervisedWorking Conditions:Office Environment Own computer with required softwareDirect Reports:All subordinates employed in the Finance DepartmentJob Type: Full-time
