Financial Manager

Our client, based in Cape Town, is one of the leading companies in the design and installation of luxury architectural fabric structures worldwide. Their business is growing, and they are looking for a seasoned and experienced operationally-minded Financial Manager to join their dynamic team.

Reporting to the CFO, you will manage and execute the operationally driven finances of the company by performing the following duties and responsibilities which include, but are not limited to:

Financial

  • Update & manage cash flow forecast.
  • Prepare & manage annual budgets.
  • Manage & finalise audit/AFS process.
  • Oversee & review AP & AR
  • Calculate & manage transfer pricing.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts.
  • Management Pack - Reports & Analysis
  • Financial & Operational ratios
  • Project contract value dashboard
  • Project Budgets
  • Collate & update project reports.
  • Create, manage, and update financial dashboard.
  • Prepare quarterly operations reports showing financial performance and operational highlights.
  • Banking supervision
  • Calculate Income tax calculations & estimates.
  • Ensure statutory compliance.
  • Ensure stock control & reconciliations.
  • Ad hoc reports and analysis
Projects / Sales
  • Prepare & manage project claims & statements.
  • Track project contract values.
  • Original contract value +
  • Variation orders +
  • Reimbursables
  • Prepare final accounts in conjunction with Project Managers
  • Prepare & issue invoices.
  • Ensure project budgets are tracked & adhered to
Systems / Software
  • Oversee the company's transaction processing systems.
  • Manage ERP accuracy.
  • Overhead & project budgets
  • Stock accuracy - balances & transactions.
  • Supplier & Customer info
  • Transactions
  • Journal entries.
  • Fixed assets
HR / Staff
  • Prepare & issue employment contracts.
  • Manage staff leave balances.
  • Review monthly payroll.
General
  • Attend to and manage all legal / insurance claims.
  • Review & complete supplier credit applications.
  • Review & update insurance policies.
  • Update policies & directives.
  • Assist in the preparation of contracts.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 3+ Years experience in a senior financial role.
  • BCom Hons in Finance, CA (SA), CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Practical experience with financial modeling and knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • In-depth knowledge of the South African Income Tax Act, VAT Act, and Customs and Excise Act.
  • Clear communicator with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including diverse shareholders.
  • Take ownership, be accountable and reliable.
  • Structured approach with excellent planning, organizational and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure - independently as well as within in a team.
  • Self-motivated, targeted, result and deadline driven.
  • Advanced Excel.
