An exciting opportunity for a Financial Manager is available to join my client in overseeing the financial operations of their dynamic finance department within the Financial Services industry. You will collaborate closely with the CFO and other financial managers across the division. You will be someone who thrives on problem-solving, has strong analytical abilities, and has a knack for staying organized. As a key player, a solid grasp of financial policies and systems, along with a sharp attention to detail, will be crucial in ensuring quality outcomes.Responsibilities:

• Manage the annual external audit process
• Oversee audit pack completion and submission and annual financial statements
• Manage the annual budgeting process of the Distribution division
• Prepare and manage provisional and annual tax returns
• Prepare and oversee monthly management reporting
• Find ways to improve efficiency of the management reporting function
• Identify unusual trends or anomalies that require further analysis and explanation
• Critically examining financial information for accuracy
• Prepare and manage monthly income statement and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist Regional Managers and the Distribution analyst team with financial information
• Manage financial and business risk
• Assist staff to prepare management financial information
• Mentor junior staff to assist and prepare annual financial statements and assist with year-end audit

Requirements:

• CA(SA) qualification
• Minimum 2-5 years' relevant work experience within the financial services industry
• Proficient in both spoken and written English and at least one other of the official South African languages
• Strong MS Office and MS Excel Intermediate skills
