Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end closing process and prepare control account reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly management accounts.
- Collaborate with senior management to establish financial goals and objectives.
- Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare budgets, financial reports, forecasts and performance analysis.
- Manage internal and external audit processes with the Finance Executive.
- Prepare AFS and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS, industry standards, and regulations.
- Review and approval of payment requisitions prior to submission and approval by the Finance Executive.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, auditors, business partners, and colleagues.
- Completed B Com Honours
- Completed SAICA Articles
- Knowledge of IFRS.
- 5+ years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in the insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of the insurance industry sector and regulations.
- Advanced knowledge of computer software packages including:
- Sage Intact
- Caseware
- Excellent financial analysis and forecasting skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Honest and strong values.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Must have drive and show initiative.
