A charming, 5-star hotel is looking for an experienced a FINANCIAL MANAGERKEY RESPOSIBILITIES:
All aspects of bookkeeping and accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger maintenance
Preparing reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
Maintenance of a fixed asset register
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to management and shareholders
Manage cash flow and ensure timely payments to suppliers
Manage budgets, forecasts and cashflow
Ensure compliance with tax laws and other regulatory requirements including SARS submissions
Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting
Financial analysis
Monthly salary processing and payment
Recording of staff leave, overtime and tips
Following up late payments and liaising with debtors
Stock control costings, maintain the accuracy of stock quantities and assist with stock takes
Preparation of an annual audit file
General office administrative requirements
Management and refinement of internal financial operations across all Hotel divisions.
REQUIREMENTS:
Proven experience as an accountant in the Hospitality industry (minimum 5 years)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
High proficiency in Sage Pastel accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Experience with working with Hotel and Point of Sale management software (e.g. Apex, PlusPoint etc.)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
