SUMMARY:

KEY RESPOSIBILITIES:

• All aspects of bookkeeping and accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger maintenance
• Preparing reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
• Maintenance of a fixed asset register
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to management and shareholders
• Manage cash flow and ensure timely payments to suppliers
• Manage budgets, forecasts and cashflow
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and other regulatory requirements including SARS submissions

• Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting
• Financial analysis
• Monthly salary processing and payment
• Recording of staff leave, overtime and tips
• Following up late payments and liaising with debtors
• Stock control costings, maintain the accuracy of stock quantities and assist with stock takes
• Preparation of an annual audit file
• General office administrative requirements
• Management and refinement of internal financial operations across all Hotel divisions.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience as an

in the industry (minimum 5 years) * Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards

• High proficiency in Sage Pastel accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Experience with working with Hotel and Point of Sale management software (e.g. Apex, PlusPoint etc.)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
