Key Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • B Com Accounting Degree with completed articles
  • Registration with a Professional Body such as SAICA/SAIPA or related
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software
  • Proven track record of managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounting and HR responsibilities
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide financial analysis
  • Experience in preparing and presenting accurate financial records and reports
Key Result Areas:
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting and HR responsibilities.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the institution's strategic goals.
  • Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering professional development.
  • Prepare and present accurate financial reports to senior management and governing bodies.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including tax laws and Companies Act.
  • Proactively manage financial risks and opportunities, providing strategic guidance.
  • Oversee HR administration, including personnel files and disciplinary records.
  • Maintain continuous communication with the General Manager on critical financial matters.
  • Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals.
  • Coordinate successful completion of annual audit and statutory submissions.
