Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of both our abattoir and farm activities. Responsibilities include:
- Managing the debtors and creditors departments
- Overseeing the treasury function
- Managing intercompany loans and reconciliations
- Handling exports accounting and FEC functions
- Managing insurance processes
- Continuously improving financial processes and controls
- Documenting critical processes and self-audit functions
- Managing provisions and accruals
- Conducting balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing and analyzing monthly management results
- Managing the fixed asset register
- Preparing the annual budget
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements
- Preparing audit documents
- Assisting the CEO with additional requests and projects as needed
- CA (SA) is a prerequisite
- 2-3 years of commercial work experience
- Strong accounting skills
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented, efficient, and organized
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Reliable own transport is essential
