Ensuring that processing is up to date on a daily basis
Processing transactions accurately
Ensuring all transactions are sufficiently supported
Completing reconciliations in a timely manner
Completing reconciliations accurately with sufficient support
Resolving reconciling items in a timely manner
Completing management accounts within the deadline timeframe
Managing the loan book to achieve accuracy
Preparing accurate contractual agreements
Performing a continuous self-review on work
Performing other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
Systems and databases
Ensuring that systems and databases are being kept up to date at all times
Providing input and suggestions to improve systems and databases
Monthly reporting and analysis
Preparing accurate stakeholder reporting within deadline timeframes
People Management
Providing oversight and direction to the employees in the department in accordance with the companys policies and procedures.
Coaching, mentoring, and developing staff
Empowering employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals
Leading employees using a performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework to encourage employee contribution and includes goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning.
REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirement: BCOM degree in finance or related field.
2-5 years experience
Previous management experience will be an advantage
Knowledge of IFRS reporting standards, NCR, NCA and related legislation
