Job Description
An opportunity is available for an experienced Financial Manager in the mining industry. You will oversee the financial management of assigned entities to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Your ability to excel under pressure, delivering high-quality performance analysis. Attention to detail and analytical skills are crucial, along with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity.Responsibilities:
- Manage and review the annual budgeting process
- Approve journal entries and transactions
- Review reconciliations in relation to relevant accounting standards
- Manage and review weekly and monthly reporting deliverables
- Support internal and external audits
- Review and ensure that income tax computations and VAT calculations are accurate
- Review and ensure that annual financial statements are accurate and completed on time
- Responsible for the integrity of financial systems so that they adhere to the applicable accounting standards and company policies
- Address all issues raised by internal and external audit and develop measures to ensure compliance
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiencies within the team
- Take accountability for the management of direct reports and team
- Establish development and training plans for individual team members
- Manage and motivate the team to operate in a high volume and time critical environment
- CA(SA)
- Minimum 5 years post articles experience within Mining
