Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee full financial management function, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Prepare and review monthly financial reports, management accounts, and year-end financial statements
- Manage and improve financial systems and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Conduct cost analysis, assist with production costing, and support the business in optimizing operational efficiency
- Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards using Power BI for enhanced decision-making and reporting
- Lead and mentor a small finance team, ensuring effective team performance and development
- Liaise with external auditors, ensuring timely submission of audit requirements
- VAT returns, tax compliance, and review of general ledger reconciliations
- BCOM Honours degree with completed articles (preferably from a small firm)
- 3-5 years of post-articles experience in the manufacturing industry
- Proficiency in Power BI for financial analysis and reporting
- Strong knowledge of financial management, cost accounting, and compliance requirements
- Experience with financial controls, reconciliations, and month-end processes
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with both financial and non-financial stakeholders
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a team
