My client is looking for a Financial Manager to oversee and manage the financial functions of their Support Services team. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills and a strong background in financial management.This role is based in Sandton, Johannesburg North.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the Support Services team, ensuring efficient operations.
• Act as a bank signatory, approving EFT payments and verifying new creditor banking details.
• Authorise journal entries and oversee the point-of-sale (POS) system, including purchase order approvals.
• Conduct reviews of balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analyses.
• Oversee the VAT submission process for the Support Services division.
• Prepare year-end accounting packs and support the audit and budgeting processes for cost centres.
• Manage financial reporting, including Flash reports, monthly and quarterly reports, and forecasts.
• Provide financial guidance to department heads, assisting with queries and budget management.
• Review and manage the fringe benefit company car schedules, payroll deductions, and commission structures.
• Perform budget vs actual variance analysis and forecast vs actual variance analysis on a monthly basis.
• Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with financial policies.
• Handle ad hoc financial requests from the Group Office as needed.

Requirements:

• BCom Accounting Degree and Honours.
• Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience.
• Experience in VAT and TAX submission are non-negotiable.
