FINANCIAL MANAGER [MANUFACTURING]Location: Cape TownOur client, based in Cape Town, is seeking a Financial Manager to join their team.Responsibilities:

• Develop financial strategies that align with the company's business objectives.
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
• Conduct financial risk assessments to mitigate potential financial threats.
• Analyse production costs and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
• Develop and refine pricing strategies for machinery based on comprehensive cost analysis and market trends.
• Assess the profitability of different product lines and customer contracts.
• Ensure optimal cash flow for daily operations, raw material procurement, and equipment purchases.
• Monitor accounts receivable & payable to prevent cash shortages.
• Optimise working capital to improve liquidity.
• Prepare financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
• Ensure tax compliance, VAT/GST filings, and corporate financial regulations.
• Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Evaluate investments in new machinery, technology, and factory expansions.
• Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditures.
• Negotiate financing options for large capital projects.
• Secure loans, credit lines, and funding for growth initiatives.
• Manage relationships with banks, investors, and financial institutions.
• Oversee foreign exchange risks associated with importing and exporting machinery components.
• Implement and manage ERP systems for financial tracking and reporting.
• Ensure real-time monitoring of production costs and margins.
• Improve digital financial controls and automation.
• Identify financial risks, including exchange rate fluctuations and supplier risks.
• Implement internal controls to prevent fraud and financial mismanagement.
• Develop contingency plans for economic downturns or supply chain disruptions.

Requirements:

• Matric.
• Relevant Accounting Degree.
• Minimum 2 years experience as Financial Manager in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 2 years experience managing a Finance Team.
• Pastel knowledge (beneficial).
